BRUNSWICK - A Glynn County jail inmate has been accused of trying to hire someone to kill his mother and a Georgia state trooper.
Ronald Edward Blazak, 35, of Conyers was charged Monday with attempt to commit murder, said Special Agent John Willis of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
``Blazak is charged with soliciting another individual at the jail to murder his mother and Georgia State Patrol Trooper Mike Lamb,'' Willis said Tuesday.
Authorities withheld the name of Blazak's mother. Lamb is assigned to the state patrol post on Jekyll Island, investigators said.
Willis said Blazak was in the Glynn County Detention Center on charges of stalking and making terroristic threats against his mother, who lives in the county.
He said Lamb told agents that he previously had arrested Blazak. Details about that past case were not immediately available.
