Wet Hall tennis blanks Hab Central

The West Hall tennis teams were winners in boys&#39; and girls&#39; region matches Thursday. <br> <br> The Spartan teams both shut out Habersham Central 5-0.<br> <br> For the boys,<br> #1 singles- Joseph Pate defeated Jeremy Bousay6-1, 6-1 <br> #2-Drew Wilkerson def. Kevin Moore 6-0,6-0 <br> #3- Matt Whiting def.Cadman Kiker 6-0, 6-4 <br> <br> #1 doubles- Nathan Reed/Steven Craig def. Jason Carroll/Jonathan Brown 6-2, 6-0<br> <br> #2- Kevin Samples/Mark Braza def.Brian Hunnicutt/Cole Franklin 6-1,6-1 <br> <br> West Hall is 10-2 on the year and 6-1 in Region 8-AAAA play. The Spartans are scheduled to play Cedar Shoals Friday at Oconee Co. High School.<br> <br> The West Hall girls made it a double shut-out with their 5-0 blanking of the Lady Raiders.<br> <br> Jaime Martin, Jennifer Mulligan, and Chrissy Raby won at singles for the Lady Spartans (8-3, 5-1); while the doubles teams of Kalen Fletcher/Marie Morris and Sarah Burtch/Britney Whitaker completed the blanking.<br> <br> The East Hall boys also scored a 5-nil win. The Vikings beat Apalachee to go to 2-6 overall, but 2-0 in Region 8-AA.<br> <br> Patrick O&#39;Neal, Jake Beggs, and Todd Goss all won in singles for East Hall, while Carl Wilson/Tyler Pritchett and Jordan Broome/Ryan Mioduski won in doubles for the Vikes.
