US Airways commuter airline's pilots reject contract

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - - Pilots at CCAir, the commuter airline that flies for US Airways, rejected by a thin margin a new contract that included wage concessions.<br> <br> Some 48 pilots voted to reject the proposal, while 45 voted to accept it in voting that ended Wednesday, according to the Air Line Pilots Association. One eligible pilot did not vote.<br> <br> The proposed labor agreement sought to cut back on wages and work rules so they more closely resembled conditions at Mesa Air, which like CCAir is owned by Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group.<br> <br> Operating as US Airways Express, CCAir operates a fleet of a dozen 19-seat and 37-seat turboprops. CCAir offers 30 daily departures from Charlotte to 12 small cities.<br> <br>
