ATLANTA - A state senator says a recent hate crime in Atlanta's Little Five Points area needs to be given more attention.
Vincent Fort, a Democrat from Atlanta, organized a news conference to talk about the April Sixth beating of two black men by three white men he described as Skin Heads.
Police say 29-year-old Che Golden, an IBM employee in Atlanta, and his brother Idris Golden, a 25-year-old teacher from Baltimore, were leaving a record store when the three men started yelling racial epithets at them. The men began beating the brothers' heads on the concrete before being arrested.
Idris Golden was released Friday from a hospital after being treated for injuries he received in the attack. Shay Golden was not hospitalized.
