Spelman students hear from notable author

ATLANTA - Tina McElroy Ansa has written four books, including one that was named to the New York Times Book Review&#39;s list of Notable Books of the Year. <br> <br> Still, she says she and others her age -- she&#39;s 52 -- have failed. <br> <br> She told a roomful of Spelman College students - her alma mater -- that they have absolutely dropped the ball with your generation. <br> <br> She says, ``In many ways, we have failed you all, but I believe in redemption, and I think we can snatch y&#39;all back with love.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> The Macon native and St. Simons resident was speaking as part of a publicity tour for her latest novel, ``You Know Better.&#39;&#39; The book was inspired by her childhood growing up in Macon&#39;s Pleasant Hill neighborhood, where the entire community felt responsible for raising children and teaching them values.
