There was a wide variety of sporting events on the prep scene Tuesday.<br>

Another win for the Johnson soccer boys Tuesday night. The Knights defeated Campbell 2-0 at home. <br>
<br>
Sergio Patino scored both goals for Johnson. Jose Marban had an assist on the second goal. Goalie Heath Padgett had shut-out number five.<br>
<br>
The Knights improve to 12-2-3 and host Forsyth Central Friday night on Senior Night. <br>
<br>
The Gainesville soccer teams did not fare as well as the Knights on their Senior Night. <br>
<br>
The No. 1-ranked Lovett girls (14-4) walloped the No. 8 rated GHS girls (7-9), 7-0, in a match that was 6-0 in the first half.<br>
<br>
The Lady Lions were led by Pamela Elting who scored the only point Lovett would need early on. She assisted on two more.<br>
<br>
The 8th rated male Lions (9-6-2) made it a sweep, knocking off the fifth ranked Gainesville boys 3-1 in the nightcap at Bobby Gruhn Field.<br>
<br>
Baker Davenport had given GHS (10-6) a 1-0 lead, but Lovett's Arya Sedehi tied it, with Brendan Tolleson putting in the go-ahead goal. Sedehi would add an insurance score on a header late in the match.<br>

The Gainesville boys have Riverside scheduled in Wednesday.<br>
<br>
The Lakeview girls got four goals from Barrett Willis and went on to win 8-0 over Region 8-AA opponent White County Tuesday night.<br>

Erica Breedlove scored twice and assisted on two more for the Lady Lions (13-2). Lisa McMahan scored and had two assists. Jessica Moses also scored and added an assist. Lauren Lowell had an assist. Amey Coleman got her seventh shut-out in goal.<br>

The Grayson girls beat North Hall 4-1. Ellen Shuler scored the only goal for the Lady Trojans (7-7, 1-4 Region 8-AAAA). Andrea Cox had the assist at home.<br>
<br>
The Grayson boys made it a sweep with a narrow 1-0 victory over North Hall.<br>
<br>
In baseball, Lakeview (11-4, 4-1 in 8-AA) beat Towns County 8-6. The Lions took the Region 8-AA contest in Hiawassee, scoring three runs in the seventh.<br>
<br>
Nathan Crumley, in a 2-for-3 game, started the comeback with a single. He then scored from first on a bad throw. Ross McIntyre came home on a sac-fly with the go-ahead run to aid his own cause in picking up the win. The last run was added by Ben Nichol.<br>
<br>
The North Hall baseball team did not fare as well. The Trojans (5-13, 1-8 in Region 8-AAAA) went to Central Gwinnett and fell 5-3 in eight innings.<br>
<br>
Chris Curtis went 6 1/3 innings and got no decision. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate. Justin Peck also went 2-for-4, while Clayton Hester went 2-for-3.<br>
<br>
Jared Hodge went 1 1/3 innings and picked up the loss.<br>
<br>
North Forsyth took an 8-7 win over Sequoyah. Bennett Mayfield had the gamer, a double in the bottom of the seventh in Coal Mountain.<br>
<br>
Mayfield wound up 3-for-4 for the Raiders (11-6, 3-3 in 7-AAA).<br>
<br>
On the Wednesday diamond schedule, Johnson is to host Gainesville; West Hall is slated at Cedar Shoals; East Hall is to host White County; Lakeview is to be at Buford; Riverside is to host Greater Atlanta Christian; North Forsyth is slated at Gilmer County; South Forsyth is to host Fannin County ; Jefferson is to travel to Providence; Lumpkin County is to be on the road to Apalachee; Hab Central is to be at home with Oconee County; and Jackson County is scheduled at Elbert County.<br>

On the tennis courts, the Johnson boys fell to Gilmer 4-1. Drew Nutter got the only Johnson boys' win.<br>
<br>
In a rain-shortened match, the host Johnson girls beat Gilmer 3-0 on singles wins from Jamie Green and Taylor Day, and a doubles victory by Mary Phillips/Lori Vaughn.<br>

The Riverside tennis team shut out the Rabun Gap boys 4-love in Nacoochee.<br>
<br>
Singles winners for the Eagles (7-4) were Rocky Kandola and Blake Ivy. Henyen Sharp/Creighton Nash and Jae Park/Daniel Paysinger won in doubles. Riverside had beaten White County 3-2 on Monday.<br>

The Buford boys shut out East Hall (2-8) 5-zip.<br>
<br>
Buford got victories from Matt Jones,Kevin Markes, and Phillippe Evangelista in singles. The Wolves' doubles teams of Michael Jackson/Andrew Pack and Justin Bonick/Chris Flanigan also won.<br>
<br>
The Lady Wolves made it a double-shut out, 5-0. East Hall is scheduled to host Dawson County for tennis Wednesday.<br>
<br>
Oconee County shut out the West Hall girls (8-4, 5-2 in 8-AAAA) 5-0 in a region match in Watkinsville.<br>
<br>
The Warrior boys made it a twin 5-0 killing. Oconee County is to host North Hall Wednesday.<br>
<br>
The Gainesville tennis teams were rained out Tuesday. They will make up the boys' match Thursday at South Forsyth. The GHS teams are to host Pickens County Wednesday.<br>
<br>
Grayson continued their winning ways over North Hall teams Tuesday with girls' and boys' 5-0 tennis shut outs in Loganville.<br>
<br>
On the links, North Hall took a win over East Hall in boys' golf , despite the Vikings' lowest score of the season: 167-175 at Chicopee Woods. <br>
<br>
North Hall's Jay Bates and East Hall's Justin Lewallen both shot 39's.<br>
<br>
Joe Cronmiller added a 40 and Brett Pittman a 42 for the Trojans. Matt McGee carded a 44 and Kevin Parson shot a 45 for East Hall.<br>
<br>
Molly Childers' 42 led the Gainesville girls to a 94-110 Region 7-AAA win over Pickens County in Jasper. Lindsey Thompson put up a 51 for the unbeaten GHS girls. Nancy Burns' 51 led the Lady Dragons.<br>
<br>
The West Hall boys were led by John Quillian and T.J. Cone who posted 51's over 12 holes as the Spartans (220) took a tri-match over Jackson County (239) and Johnson (263) at Royal Lakes. <br>
<br>
In a nine-hole match, the West Hall girls made it a Spartan sweep over the Lady Panthers and Lady Knights.<br>
<br>
The Wednesday golf schedule shows West Hall against North Hall and Riverside against GAC.<br>
<br>
Riverside is also slated to be at home with Milton for lacrosse.
