It was a busy Wednesday on the prep tennis courts.<br>

Both Gainesville teams, girls and boys, continued strong seasons with 5-love shut-outs of Pickens County.<br>
<br>
The Gainesville girls (10-1) got singles wins from Lauren Weiss, Heather Henry, and Rachel Moore in their match at Longwood Park. The teams of Emily Brooksher/Meg Henson and Leigh Ann Gross/Michelle Fuller picked up doubles wins.<br>
<br>
The GHS boys are still unbeaten (11-0, 6-0 in 7-AAA). Singles winners for the Elephants were Grant Patrick, Ben Stewart, and Matt Fowler. Dubs team winners were Mark Easley/Drew Turner as well as Jim Simons/John Nott.<br>
<br>
GHS is scheduled at South Forsyth Thursday.<br>
<br>
The Riverside boys also scored a 5-0 shut-out at Rabun County.<br>
<br>
The Eagles (8-4, 4-0 in 8-AA) picked up sins in singles from George Woodruff, Rocky Kandola, and Blake Ivy. The doubles teams of Henyen Sharp/Creighton Nash and Jae Park/Daniel Paysinger completed the blanking.<br>
<br>
Riverside is slated to host the Region Tournament beginning Monday morning at 9:00.<br>
<br>
East Hall's boys eked out a 3-2 win at home against Dawson County. <br>
<br>
The Vikings won all three singles, while the Tigers took the doubles.<br>
<br>
Patrick O'Neal, Jake Beggs, and Todd Goss won for East Hall, while the teams of Raymond Weshorn/Nicholas Biddy and Adam Roper/Jeremy Fields won for Dawson.<br>
<br>
The Vikings carry a 3-8 overall, 3-1 Region 8-AA South into Lumpkin County Thursday.<br>
<br>
The Viking girls made it a sweep with a 4-1 win over Dawson at East Hall.<br>
<br>
It was a split for the Lakeview boys and girls Wednesday. Both Lions' teams beat Commerce 4-1, but both lost to Buford 3-2.<br>
<br>
In the win over Commerce, the Lady Lions picked up singles wins from Cassie Martin, Sarina Bhole', and Katie Clark. Amy Kearns and Elizabeth Hamilton won at number one doubles for Lakeview. Commerce's team of Kate Wilbanks/Heather Beck won at number two dubs.<br>

Martin and Bhole' won against Buford, but the Lady Wolves picked up a win at number three singles from Lori Prince; and the doubles teams of Alison Valdez/Lauren henderson and Merideth Cash/Brittney Peevy won to give Buford the team victory at home.<br>
<br>
Branden Owens won at three singles for Commerce, but Lakeview picked up the other singles wins from Tony Abdulkarim and David Ellis and doubles wins from James Francis/John Woodhams as well as Kevin Brooks/Justin Marshall.<br>
<br>
Against Buford, Ellis won along with the doubles team of Marshall and Holden Sawyer.<br>
<br>
Buford took the team match with singles victories from Mac Jones and Andrew Pak, and a doubles victory by Michael Jackson and Judson Bonick.<br>
<br>
Also Wednesday, the Cedar Shoals tennis teams swept Habersham Central: 4-1, girls; and 3-2 boys. The Jaguars were to play West Hall Thursday at the UGA McWhorter courts.
