Trial date set for Fayette man in wife's death

ATLANTA - A trial date was set for a Fayette County man accused of killing his wife, who disappeared five years ago. <br>

Jim Watson, 38, was jailed Jan. 15 when he was charged with the murder in the death of Beverley Watson. The murder trial has been set for June 3. <br>
<br>
Watson disappeared from her home in January 1997. Her bones were found in March 1999 on a south Fulton County farm. <br>
<br>
In August 2000, Jim Watson settled a wrongful death suit filed by his wife's family seeking to prevent him from collecting any insurance money from her death. Watson agreed to allow all the funds to go to the couple's two children.
