Judge rules Ramseys did not defame former housekeeper

ATLANTA - A federal judge has ruled that John and Patsy Ramsey did not libel their former housekeeper in a book about the 1996 slaying of their 6-year-old daughter, JonBenet. <br> <br> U.S. District Judge Thomas Thrash dismissed Linda Hoffman-Pugh&#39;s lawsuit, saying the Ramseys did not name her as a suspect nor did she fit the profile of the person the Ramseys thought had killed JonBenet at their home in Boulder, Colo. <br> <br> Thrash dismissed the defamation suit in an order signed earlier this month. <br> <br> In the 2000 book ``The Death of Innocence,&#39;&#39; Patsy Ramsey wrote that she named Hoffman-Pugh when police, thinking at the time that they were investigating a kidnapping, asked about people acting strangely. Ramsey also said she described Hoffman-Pugh as a ``good person&#39;&#39; who ``would not hurt JonBenet.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> JonBenet&#39;s killer has not been caught. The Ramseys left Colorado and now live in the Atlanta area.
