BOSTON - Dagney Mellgren, Angela Hucles and Christine Lilly scored goals as the Boston Breakers defeated the Atlanta Beat 3-1 in WUSA action Saturday. <br>

Liping Wang scored for the Beat (0-2), last year's league runner-up. <br>
<br>
Atlanta goalkeeper Briana Scurry, who played at Massachusetts, stopped just two of five shots. <br>
<br>
The Breakers improved to 1-1.
