DALTON - A 23-year-old Dalton man who lost his wallet while skiing in Switzerland in January got a surprise in the mail last week -- his wallet with his money still in it as well as his credit cards.

Ryan Belk and three friends left Dalton on January 18 for the eight-day trip. After the second day of skiing, Belk realized his wallet was missing. He initially thought he was the victim of a pickpocket.

He said he called his girlfriend and she canceled all the credit cards. Belk lost $27 and 270 Swiss francs, which is about $160. He had to borrow money to make it through the rest of the trip.

He had almost forgotten about the wallet until three weeks ago. Then his brother, Paul, got an e-mail from a couple in Switzerland saying they had found the wallet.

The couple mailed the wallet and all its contents back to Belk.
