Scooters will be in use on Atlanta sidewalks

ATLANTA - Atlanta police and the city's Ambassador Force will begin making patrols on scooters Wednesday. <br>

A news conference is scheduled this morning to unveil the Segway at the Georgia World Congress Center. <br>
<br>
Six of the 65-pound machines invented by Dean Damen have been loaned to Atlanta police free for 60 days. <br>
<br>
Another ten have been bought for $9,000 each by the Ambassador Force, Centeral Atlanta Progress and Georgia Power.
