Former Woodstock High School teacher pleads innocent

WOODSTOCK - A former Cherokee County social studies teacher accused of having sex with a student and touching another pleaded innocent Tuesday. <br>

Gene R. Groves, who was 28 when arrested last year, pleaded innocent in Cherokee County Superior Court. Groves is one of three former Woodstock High School teachers who resigned following investigations into improper relationships with students. <br>
<br>
They all lost their Georgia teaching certificates, as well. <br>
<br>
Bradley L. Chapman, of Roswell, pleaded guilty in February to sexual assault and statutory rape charges. Chapman was sentenced to 10 years. <br>
<br>
Richard Paul Adams II, of Kingston, pleaded guilty in September to simple assault and reckless conduct involving a student. <br>
<br>
Adams was placed on probation for two years and fined $1,000.
