Fort Gordon soldier killed in motorcycle accident

FORT GORDON - A Fort Gordon soldier has died from a motorcycle accident on Gordon Highway. <br> <br> Thirty-six-year old Corporal Christopher Eubanks was pronounced dead at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center on the post. He died of massive trauma. <br> <br> Richmond County Sheriff Sergeant Billy Hambrick said Eubanks was driving the Suzuki motorcycle west on Gordon highway at a high speed when he lost control and hit the median. <br> <br> The impact sent the motorcycle 400 feet down the highway, where Eubanks was ejected. <br> <br> The Richmond County coroner said he will conduct an alcohol test during an autopsy on Eubanks Thursday.
