Metro Atlanta theater opens two VIP suites

LITHONIA - A new metro Atlanta movie theater is offering two VIP rooms - the only ones at a Georgia theater. <br> <br> The rooms are on the top level of The MegaStar Cinemas at The Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia. The suites include features such as reclining over-stuffed chairs, individual sound systems, small kitchens and sound proof glass. <br> <br> Each suite costs about $100 to rent. <br> <br> There are only five similar V-I-P rooms in the nation. Last June, MegaStar cinemas opened similar theaters in Minnesota. <br> <br> Theater officials said dignitaries and businesses use the suites for privacy. The rooms can also be rented for special events, such as anniversaries and birthdays. <br> <br> The Mall at Stonecrest is a one-point-three million-square-foot, up-scale regional shopping center. It is the first mall in Atlanta to open with five anchors and features 120 up-scale tenants, including national retailers and restaurants.
