Eight high schoolers accused in shoplifting scheme

LAWRENCEVILLE - Seven Norcross High School students stole more than $8,000 in merchandise from a SuperTarget with the help of a schoolmate who worked in the store, Gwinnett County police said. <br> <br> All eight were charged with felony shoplifting in a case similar to a 1998 student-cashier scheme that netted $60,000 in goods from a Fulton County Wal-Mart, police spokesman Cpl. Ray Dunlap said. <br> <br> The Norcross students stole items including DVD and video game players over a month from a Duluth store with the help of 18-year-old Joshua Collins, who worked in ``loss prevention,&#39;&#39; Dunlap said. <br> <br> ``He was using the store surveillance system to direct other Norcross High School students where to go and how to avoid the employees, and they&#39;ve been walking out with literally carts full of high-dollar electronic goods,&#39;&#39; Dunlap said. <br> <br> Police identified the other suspects as Richard Seale, 19; Trocon Williams, 19; George Dare, 18; Trenard Foster, 18; Edward Idleburg, 18; Brandon Stewart, 18; and Nicholas Ward, 17; all of Norcross.
