Perry High School senior named STAR student

ATLANTA - Dustin Allgood, a senior at Perry High School in Houston County, was recognized tonight as the Professional Association of Georgia Educators' STAR student. <br>

Allgood named Perry mathematics professor Mary Gentry as his STAR teacher. <br>
<br>
Conor Tochilin of The Westminster Schools in Fulton County was named runner-up and named chemistry teacher Penney Sconzo as his STAR teacher. <br>
<br>
The honors were announced at PAGE's annual STAR banquet in Atlanta. <br>
<br>
Nineteen of the state's top students were finalists in the event. Eight of them scored 16-hundred on a single administration of the S-A-T examination. The finalists were selected from more than 450 STAR students in the state's participating public and private high schools. <br>
<br>
PAGE is an independent, non-union organization of more than 51-thousand teachers, administrators and school support personnel.
