Lopes funeral set for Thursday

LITHONIA - The funeral for singer Lisa ``Left Eye'' Lopes will be held Thursday in Lithonia, east of Atlanta. <br>
<br>
The service is scheduled for 11 a.m. at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. It will be open to the public. <br>
<br>
A private wake is scheduled for Wednesday night. <br>
<br>
Lopes was a member of the Grammy-winning trio TLC who made headlines with both her music and her personal life. <br>
<br>
She was killed Thursday in a car crash near Jutiapa, Honduras. <br>
<br>
Police say Lopes was trying to pass a car on the highway when a truck approached from the other lane, forcing her to veer to the left, striking two trees and flipping over several times.
