Thirty-four-year-old Charles Jesse Stone was indicted Monday on sex offense charges involving four women in his custody in 1998 and 1999.
District Attorney Kristy Newton said he resigned in May 2000 and now works as a probation and parole officer in Georgia.
Newton said Stone worked with women offenders in Georgia, but was given a desk assignment when Georgia officials learned about the investigation.
Stone is scheduled to turn himself in to the State Bureau of Investigation by the end of the week.
According to the indictments, Stone is accused of soliciting sex from parolees and probationers in return for reduced penalties.
He also is accused of threatening parolees with prison if they didn't perform sex acts, exposing himself to them and touching them inappropriately.
Reached Monday at his home in Marietta Stone said he did not know about the indictments.
