East Georgia College professor found dead

SWAINSBORO - Authorities in Swainsboro are investigating the death of a junior college professor as a homicide. <br> <br> Emanuel County Sheriff Tyson Stephens says the body of 38-year-old Emily Pestana Mason was found about 9 p.m. Monday at her home. <br> <br> She was an assistant professor of English at East Georgia College. <br> <br> Her husband, Walt Mason, is an associate professor of physical education at the college. <br> <br> Authorities have not released the cause of death or other information. <br> <br> (WXRS Radio, Jeff Wiggins)
