ATLANTA - Almost a billion dollars worth of HOV lane construction on roads in and around Atlanta, including Georgia 400, are being postponed.

The reason: there's no money right now to pay for them.

The money had been included in an early draft of the Atlanta Regional Commission's current three-year transportation funding plan.

But, it has now been removed.

Funding is still included for two other projects in our area: I-85 from Georgia 316 to Hamilton Mill Road and Georgia 316 from 85 to Georgia 20.
