Eric Rudolph gets support letters in North Carolina

ANDREWS, N.C. - A task force is investigating letters that express support for an accused serial bomber and vow to use &#34;lethal force&#34; to stop abortions.<br> <br> <br> The identical, typed letters said they were from the Army of God anti-abortion group. One was left in the mailbox Monday of The Andrews Journal, and the other was taped to a boot outside a store where fugitive Eric Robert Rudolph once bought hiking boots.<br> <br> The messages declared &#34;war on the entire child-killing industry&#34; but did not threaten specific people or businesses. They ended with Internet addresses for three anti-abortion Web sites.<br> <br> Authorities believe Rudolph is behind the bombings of two abortion clinics and a gay nightclub, and the bombing at the Atlanta Olympic Games that killed one person. A Florida native, Rudolph moved to North Carolina in 1981.<br> <br> The Southeast Bomb Task Force, which includes FBI agents and police, said Monday there was no indication that Rudolph wrote the letters.<br> <br>
