West Hall advances in Hall Co. Tennis tourney

OAKWOOD - The West Hall boys tennis team shut out Lakeview Academy 5-0 Thursday in the Hall County Tennis Tournament.<br> <br> The West Hall girls beat Lakeview 3-2. The East Hall girls beat Brenau Academy 3-2.<br> <br> For the boys, Joseph Pate def. Tony Abdulkarim 6-1, 6-0 in No. 1 singles. Drew Wilkerson def. John Woodums, 6-2,1-6,6-0 at No. 2 singles. Matt Whiting def. Michael Stump, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.<br> <br> In doubles play, Steven Craig and Nathan Reed def. James Francis and David Ellis 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1. Mark Braza and Kevin Samples def. Kevin Brooks and Justin Marshall 6-4. 6-1 in No. 2 doubles.<br> <br> West Hall is 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in the county tourn. West Hall will play at North Hall Friday.
