Powder that triggered anthrax scare said to be drug

ATLANTA - A suspicious white powder that set off an anthrax scare at Fort McPherson a week ago has been identified as a controlled substance. <br> <br> Colonel Guy Shields, a spokesman for Army Forces Command at the Atlanta Army post, would not identify the drug. It was found in a plastic envelope about half the size of a business card on the floor of the fourth floor of the U.S. Army Reserve Command headquarters building. <br> <br> Shields said the post&#39;s Criminal Investigation Division is looking into the case. <br> <br> An initial field test by Fort McPherson&#39;s hazardous materials team indicated the presence of anthrax. The building was locked down with about 200 people inside. Seven people who had been exposed to the substance were decontaminated before being sent home. <br> <br> The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention later determined that the powder did not contain anthrax.
