It's a new sport for them on the campus of Riverside Military Academy, but the score Wednesday seemed to indicate the Eagles had been playing lacrosse for quite awhile.
RMA walloped South Cobb 16-0 to go to 1-1 on the season. The Eagles are slated to travel to Walton Thursday.
On the soccer field, Grayson beat the West Hall girls 3-1. Jessica Williams had the only goal for the Lady Spartans who are scheduled to host North Hall Friday.
Elsewhere on the Thursday schedule, the Johnson golfers are scheduled to play North Forsyth.
In other prep news, Buford's Jamie Stewart has reportedly signed a football grant-in-aid with Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
The 6'2", 215 pound Stewart was All-State after his junior season, and led the Wolfpack in tackles the past three seasons. He helped the Wolves to the Class A Title this past year.
