LAWRENCEVILLE - A charge of attempted murder has been made against a Buford woman for allegedly trying to poison a man with mercury.
Gwinnett County police Corporal Ray Dunlap says 53-year-old Larry Crapps had taken 34-year-old Toni McCall and her children into his Harbor Drive home.

McCall allegedly became upset with Crapps after he threatened to evict her family if she didn't stop drinking and using drugs.
Police believe McCall then mixed mercury with Crapp's kidney medication. He took some tainted capsules before noticing the poison but hasn't had any health problems yet.
McCall is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
