West Georgia wins South

Former East Hall basketball player Chezley Watson and his West Georgia team have won the NCAA Division II South regional Title.<br>

The Braves (24-8), beat Valdosta State 81-69 in Tampa Sunday to claim the crown and advance into the Elite Eight round of the D-II tourney. The game was a rematch of the Gulf South Final, which West Georgia had also won.<br>
<br>
The Braves had upset top-seed Tampa 77-69 on Saturday.<br>
