Students will begin wearing their uniforms during the 2002-2003 school year, which begins in the fall.
Students will be dressed in red, black, white or gray tops with black or khaki bottoms. Rubber soled shoes will be required for P.E.
All students will be required to wear the uniforms, and, if necessary, provisions will be made to accommodate students who can not afford to purchase the uniforms.
Also Monday night, high school diplomas were awarded to some special recipients.
The events of World War II interrupted the education of many men, and Hall County recognized three of them during the school board's regular meeting.
Ernest Grindle and Buck Kendrick were present to accept their high school diplomas from the school board.
Superintendent Dr. Dennis Fordham expressed his gratitude for the men.
"We forget sometimes, I think, how indebted we are to those of you who served particularly in World War II. We are glad to be able to honor you," Fordham said.
Verner Adams was also awarded a diploma, but could not attend Monday's meeting.
