CHEROKEE, N.C. - People playing at the Cherokee Indian tribe's casino in Cherokee, North Carolina, have a new challenge - live digital blackjack.
The game is a cross between a video card game and a traditional blackjack table. The casino started with four tables Monday and opened two more to meet demand for the game.
A Dallas, Georgia, man says he likes the real cards better but says the digital game is good.
Under the agreement the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has with the state, live card dealers are prohibited and the tribe's casino can only offer video gambling machines.
In digital blackjack, a computer deals the cards while a live dealer takes bets, makes payoffs and plays the house hand.
