JONESBORO - A Clayton County woman appeared in court Tuesday on charges that she was married to six men at the same time.
Forty-four-year-old Tammie Denise Rider faces five felony counts of bigamy. She is being held in Clayton County jail on a $10,000 bond.
Thomas Rider Junior said he reported his wife to Clayton County sheriff's deputies after he learned she had other husbands.
Rider told WAGA-TV, ``I think she should get the book thrown at her. Because I've been used. The other husbands have been used, lied to. She gets away with this, who know what she'll get away with it.''
Tammie Rider was Mrs. Dunton in Tennessee, Mrs. Edwards in Alabama, Mrs. Maddox in South Carolina and Mrs. Crain, Smith and Rider in Georgia. She didn't try to live with all the husbands at the same time.
A Clayton Couny magistrate set a preliminary hearing for March 19. If Tammie Rider is convicted, she could be sentenced to 50 years in prison.
