Wet weather wrecks prep slate

Tuesday&#39;s nasty weather played havoc with the high school sports schedule, forcing postponements in a number of sports.<br> <br> The Northeast Georgia Mountains Tournament Cup girls soccer match between Johnson and Habersham Central was moved to 7:30 Wednesday evening at Johnson. Stephens County is scheduled to play Winder-Barrow&#39;s girls at 5:30.<br> <br> Also on the Wednesday soccer slate, on the boys&#39; side, Gainesville travels to Monroe, while West Hall is on the road at North Forsyth.<br> <br> The Ivey-Watson baseball game between West Hall and Johnson was delayed until a later time, while the Riverside/Union County golf match was moved to March 20 at 3:30.<br> <br> Weather permitting Wednesday, the Hall County Tennis Tournament will continue.<br> <br> East Hall is slated at West Hall. The Lady Spartans (3-2, 1-0 8AAAA) had beaten North Hall 5-zip Monday in a region match.<br> <br> North Hall is slated at Clarke Central Wednesday, while Buford is scheduled to host the Jackson County boys.<br> <br> On the baseball schedule, Buford is also set to host Jackson County while Riverside is to host Towns County and Lakeview is to play at Rabun County; also, South Forsyth is scheduled to travel to Milton.<br> <br> North Hall is set to host Cherokee in the Georgia Dugout Club Tournament.<br> <br> RMA has a lacrosse match with Lassiter scheduled in Gainesville.<br> <br> The new Flowery Branch High has meetings scheduled this week for prospective cheerleaders and football players to inform parents and athletes about things such as cheerleader tryouts, as well as summer camps and practices for the squads.<br> <br> The cheerleading meeting will be Thursday beginning at 6PM in the C.W. Davis Media Center, while the football meeting is to be Saturday at 6:00 in the C.W. Davis Cafeteria.<br>
