W. Hall sweeps E. Hall in County Tennis tourney

The West Hall boys finished strong in the Hall County Tennis Tournament, defeating East Hall 5-0.<br> <br> #1 singles Joseph Pate defeated Jess Odell <br> 6-0, 6-0 <br> #2 Drew Wilkerson def. Pat O&#39;Neal 6-3, 6-2 <br> #3 Matt Whiting def. Jake Beggs 6-2,6-1 <br> <br> #1 doubles Nathan Reed/Steven Craig def. Todd Goss/Carl Wilson 6-0, 6-1 <br> #2 Kevin Samples/Mark Braza def. T.J. Harris/Jordan Broom 6-0,6-0 <br> <br> In a JV match: Drew Ivey and Khalil Khlifi (WH) won a doubles match. <br> <br> The Lady Spartans made it a sweep, by knocking off the Lady Vikes, also 5-0.<br> <br> Marie Morris, Chrissy Raby, and Jennifer Mulligan won in singles, while the doubles teams of Kalen Fletcher/Britney Whitaker and Melissa Akins/Sarah Burtch also won for West Hall.<br> <br> The West Hall boys are 6-1 on the year and finished their tourney play at 5-1 for a 2nd place finish in the County Tournament. <br> <br> West Hall&#39;s girls and boys will play Clarke Central at home Thursday at 4:15 in a region match.<br> <br> The East Hall boys are scheduled at Riverside.<br> <br> In other Wednesday tennis, Lakeview and Tallulah Falls split a region 8A match with the Lady Lions winning 5-0, but Tallulah winning the boys&#39; match 4-1.<br> James Francis and David Ellis won at number one doubles for the Lions&#39; only win in the loss.<br> <br> Cassie Martin, Sarina Bhole&#39;, and Katie Clark took singles wins for the Lakeview girls. Elizabeth Hamilton and Deidre Lohn won the number one doubles, while the team of Taylor Lee/Clare Marshall got a forfeit. The Lions are scheduled at Johnson Monday.<br> <br> The Thursday racket schedule includes Johnson hosting North Forsyth, as well as North Hall&#39;s girls hosting Habersham, and Buford at Commerce.<br>
