GHS to host State Golf

If the Gainesville golf teams get to the AAA State Championships May 13th, they&#39;ll have the home course advantage.<br> <br> The City Council Thursday was told the Elephants will be the host school for the Championships with the boys&#39; tournament at Chattahoochee and the girls&#39; tourney at Chicopee.<br> <br> In Thursday golf, East Hall knocked off Johnson 192-196 with Justin Lewallen of the Vikings the low scorer with a 40.<br> <br> Also, West Hall&#39;s boys beat North Hall 161-174 as John Quillian of the Spartans posted a 38.<br> The Spartan girls took a six-hole match over the Lady Trojans.<br> <br> West Hall and Dawson County are set to play Monday at Gold Creek.<br> <br> Also Thursday, the Providence boys edged Buford 185-186, avenging an earlier loss to the Wolves. Jonathan Marsh of Buford and Justin Johnson of Providence each shot 41 Thursday.<br>
