West Hall, Johnson take tennis wins

The West Hall tennis boys won a home region match, knocking off Clarke Central , 5-0.<br>

#1 singles Joseph Pate defeated. Chad Handsborough 6-0, 6-0 <br>
#2 Drew Wilkerson def. Tash Handsborough 6-2, 6-1 <br>
#3 Matt Whiting def. Andrew Lu 6-2, 6-4 <br>
<br>
#1 doubles Nathan Reed/Steven Craig def. Michael Aronson/Nick Bolte 6-0, 6-0<br>
<br>
#2 Kevin Samples/Mark Braza def. Benie Colman/Kunal Kanani 7-6(3), 6-2 <br>
<br>
West Hall goes to 7-1 on the year and 2-0 in region play. Their next match <br>
will be at Central Gwinnett on Monday. <br>
<br>
The Lady Spartans (5-2, 2-0) made it a sweep with a 4-1 win over the Lady Gladiators.<br>
<br>
Marie Morris and Chrissy Raby won at two and three singles for West Hall. The Spartan doubles teams of Kalen Fletcher/Britney Whitaker and Melissa Aiken/Sarah Burtch also won. Clarke's win came at number one singles from Alice Uyu.<br>

West Hall is scheduled to play at Central Gwinnett Monday.<br>

Also in prep tennis, the Johnson girls went to 4-0 on the season with a 4-1 win over North Forsyth in their region opener in 7-AAA.<br>
<br>
The Lady Knights got wins at number one and number two singles from Kristin Fouts and Jamie Green. North Forsyth's Betsy Kreager took the win at number three.<br>
<br>
Lori Vaughn/Mary Phillips and Melissa Dibben/Tiffany Fouts took wins for Johnson in the doubles matches.<br>
