Mar-Jac: Poultry ban could cost $50K weekly

UNDATED - United States agricultural officials couldn&#39;t accept Russian conditions Friday for a temporary lift of Russia&#39;s ban on U.S. poultry imports.<br> <br> One of the conditions apparently involved Russian agricultural officials certifying individual U.S. flocks. U.S. officials said it would be a nightmare and would take months to finish.<br> <br> The two sides were expected to continue talks over the weekend.<br> <br> Senator Max Cleland has called Russian questions about the safety of American poultry, &#34;totally baseless.&#34; <br> <br> Mar-Jac Poultry in Gainesville estimated it would loose $50,000 a week if the ban is not lifted.
