INDIANAPOLIS- Indiana's improving defense was too much for the Atlanta Hawks. Austin Croshere came off the bench to score 19 points, leading three Pacers in double figures, as Indiana limited the Hawks to a season-low point total in an 85-to-68 victory Sunday. The Pacers won their fourth straight, their longest winning streak since late December. The victory was the most lopsided for Indiana since an 18-point win over the Los Angeles Clippers on February 23rd.
The Hawks -- who had their two-game winning streak halted -- struggled from the outset. Atlanta didn't make a three-pointer until the final four minutes, scored a season-low eleven points in the second quarter and shot 35-point-nine percent from the field -- barely avoiding another season-low. Indiana took control early and Atlanta never seriously challenged. The Pacers used an early nine-to-two run to break to a 20-to-eleven lead, and used another nine-to-two run in the second quarter to take a 32-to-19 lead with 6:28 left. The Hawks were led by Nazr Mohammed, who was the only player to reach double figures with 15 points.
