Former Dahlonega mayor dies

DAHLONEGA - Dr. Thomas Davis, a former mayor and council member in Dahlonega, died Tuesday after a brief illness.<br>
<br>
Davis, 68, also served as Registrar and Director of Admissions in addition to teaching at North Georgia College and State University before his retirement.<br>
<br>
A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at Dahlonega United Methodist Church.
