Four counties join regional express bus program

ATLANTA - Clayton, Douglas, Coweta and Henry counties are the first to join a program to provide express bus service from their regions to downtown Atlanta. <br>

The Board of Commissioners for the counties voted for the program Wednesday. The county commissions in Cobb, DeKalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Paulding, and Rockdale counties will vote next week. <br>
<br>
Bus service on the first routes are scheduled to begin in summer 2003 and will eventually be extended to include Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. <br>
<br>
The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority is providing the service to each county in exchange for a one-time payment toward the operating costs for the first three years.
