Ole Miss beats Austin Peay

OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI - Mike Gray and T.J. Beam combined on a three-hitter and Mississippi defeated Austin Peay 3-1 Monday night. <br> <br> Gray (1-0) worked five scoreless innings and allowed one hit and one walk. Beam pitched the final four innings, giving up two hits and one run. Beam earned his first save and struck out six. <br> <br> Bryce Morrison was 1-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and run scored for Ole Miss (17-7). <br> <br> Mike King allowed four hits and two runs in six innings for Austin Peay (11-10). <br> <br> Burney Hutchinson was 1-for-4 with a run scored for the Rebels. It was his 200th career hit.
