Bulldogs hammer New Orleans

STARKVILLE, MISSISSIPPI - Matthew Maniscalco drove in three runs and J.B. Tucker homered as Mississippi State defeated New Orleans 7-1 Wednesday. <br> <br> The Bulldogs (13-8-1) used three pitchers, who combined to allow seven hits and one earned run. <br> <br> Chris Young (3-0) pitched 4 2-3 innings in relief of Ryan Carroll and allowed three hits and one run. <br> <br> Maniscalco was 2-for-5 with two doubles and Jason Burkley was 3-for-3 with a run scored. <br> <br> Tucker&#39;s two-run homer in the fourth put the Bulldogs up 3-0. <br> <br> Maniscalco&#39;s two-run double in the seventh gave Mississippi State a 7-1 lead. <br> <br> Brandon Migues (1-1) allowed two hits and an unearned run in three innings for New Orleans (15-10).
