JASPER- The fourth-ranked (AAA) Johnson boys soccer team proved the road was no obstacle Wednesday night.<br>

The Knights whacked Pickens County 10-0 in Jasper, scoring five times in each half.<br>
<br>
Bien Tran tallied twice for Johnson (8-1-1, 1-1 in 7-AAA), while Frank Jaramillo scored a goal, and added two assists.<br>
<br>
Goals were also kicked in by Philip Chittaro, Brent Staley, Sergio Patino, Daniel Jaramillo, Omar Trujillo, and Luis Soto.<br>
<br>
Heath Padgett had his first shutout in goal. The Dragons were outshot by the Knights 42-1.<br>
<br>
The Lady Knights made it a sweep with an 8-1 win.<br>
<br>
Fany Carillo scored three times and added an assist for Johnson (4-7-1, 1-2 7-AAA).<br>
<br>
Rachel Arms and Norma Megrete had two goals each for the Lady Knights. Katie Dunn added a goal and two assists. Jessica Bowman had an assist, and goalie Melissa Collins made four saves.<br>
<br>
Johnson is scheduled to go to South Forsyth Thursday. The girls match is slated to start at 5:30.<br>
<br>
In Region 8-AAAA, the North Hall girls lost in Athens in overtime to Clarke Central 1-0.<br>
<br>
The Lady Trojans (6-6, 1-4 8-AAAA)have lost close lately. The last three matches have been one goal decisions- two in OT, and one in a shootout.<br>
<br>
On the Thursday soccer schedule, West Hall's teams are home with Cedar Shoals. East Hall's girls are scheduled at Towns County.<br>
<br>
Gainesville's teams are slated at Fannin County Friday.<br>
