JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - An aircraft company is being sued over a plane that crashed, killing 21 National Guard members from Florida and Virginia.
The C-23 Sherpa crashed nearly a year ago near Macon, Georgia.
Attorneys for families of two victims say that after modifications the plane was unstable and never properly tested by Bombardier Aerospace.
Jacksonville, Florida, attorney Robert Spohrer says modifications by Bombardier at its West Virginia Air Center changed the aircraft's stability and control.
Bombardier Aerospace headquarters in Canada did not return a call.
The lawsuit was filed by survivors of two of the Virginia National Guardsmen.
