Sentence in Florida murder

SUMMERVILE - An Ohio man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing and mutilating his girlfriend two years ago on a trip to Florida. <br> <br> Hayward Bissell was sentenced Wednesday in Chattooga County, where authorities say the 39-year-old Bissell killed Patricia Ann Booher at a convenience store in January 2000. <br> <br> Bissell, formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday and pleaded guilty but mentally ill. <br> <br> The plea will require Georgia Department of Corrections officials to supervise Bissell&#39;s condition, including medication and housing at a prison suitable for his psychiatric care. <br> <br> Police said Booher, also of Norwalk, had been stabbed numerous times, her eyes gouged and some of her organs partly removed. A hand and leg had also been cut off.
