Police arrest man accused of having counterfeit $100 bills

JONESBORO - A Jonesboro man was arrested after a store employee at a shopping center alerted police to a man trying to use counterfeit money. <br>

Fayette County deputies arrested Tyrone Redditt, 30, in the parking lot at the Pavillion shopping center Thursday. He has been charged with three counts of first-degree forgery for using phony $100 bills at three mall stores. <br>
<br>
Police said Redditt also was charged with three counts of second-degree forgery for three counterfeit bills found in his pocket. <br>
<br>
Sheriff's Capt. Mike Hattaway said Clayton and other south metro counties may press charges against Redditt for counterfeit bills recently passed in those counties.
