Delta Connection launches jet service to Brunswick

ATLANTA - Delta Connection will
inaugurate nonstop regional jet service between Brunswick/Golden Isles and
Atlanta Sunday.

The new flights, to be operated by Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines using the Canadair regional jet. The turboprop flights will be discontinued.

"We're pleased to provide passenger-preferred Canadair regional jet (CRJ) service to the Brunswick community," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer - Delta Connection, Inc.

Known as one of the quietest commercial aircraft in the world, the CRJ carries passengers in a two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is on an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The aircraft can cruise at 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet.
