Final Four security will be tight at Georgia Dome

ATLANTA - Security at the NCAA tournament's Final Four will be tight, but there probably will not be the same federal protection against terrorism as has been seen at the Olympics and Super Bowl.

The deputy director of the Atlanta organizing committee - D.J. Mackovets - said that means doors will open only two hours before tip-off.

At the Super Bowl, fans were advised to arrive at least four hours early. Final Four spokesman Jim Marchiony says spectators and the media will be checked, and bag restrictions will be in place: No large bags allowed, and hand searches for small bags.

The semifinals for the men's college basketball tournament will be March 30th at the Georgia Dome, with the championship two days later.
