Savannah accident kills two Canadiens

DARIEN - Two Canadian college students were killed when their sports utility vehicle overturned on Interstate 95 south of Savannah. <br>
<br>
Twenty-four-year-old Nathan Cowan, of Burlington, Ontario, and 21-year-old Jessie Fanning, of Kingston, Ontario, died at the scene of the accident Saturday. <br>
<br>
Cowan -- who wasn't wearing a seatbelt -- was thrown from the car. <br>
<br>
The two were driving with three other students from their school -- Queen's University in Ontario -- to Florida in a rented Ford Explorer. <br>
<br>
The driver was in serious condition at Memorial Health University Center in Savannah. Two other passengers suffered less-severe injuries. <br>
<br>
The accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
