GTA to hold auditions for 'My Favorite Year'

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA) welcomes amateur as well as professional non-equity actors, singers and dancers to audition for MY FAVORITE YEAR, Tuesday.<br> <br> MY FAVORITE YEAR runs from April 16-28 <br> at Gainesville College&#39;s Ed Cabell Theatre in Oakwood, and is directed by Gainesville Theatre Alliance&#39;s artistic director Jim Hammond, with choreographer Barbara Hartwig and music director Dale Grogan. <br> <br> There are roles for 8 men, 5 women, and a chorus. Atlanta actor Chris Kayser has been pre-cast in the role of Alan Swann. Those auditioning should prepare a 30-second song, and come prepared to move. There will be an <br> accompanist provided. <br> <br> Appointments are being made for groups of 10 every half-hour starting at 5:30pm.
