LAFAYETTE - Light snow is falling in Walker County as search teams continue recovery work at a crematory.
Wednesday is the 13th day of the search at Tri-State Crematory -- and it's the coldest by far. Temperatures are in the 20s, and the snow is blowing.
Emergency management director David Ashburn says a special heated tent has been set up at the site so the work can go on. The several dozen recovery workers are also wearing special insulated coveralls Wednesday.
Road workers also had to spread sand on the area around Walker County Civic Center. That's where relatives are going to donate blood -- in hopes their DNA will help identify more of the bodies.
