Federal officials investigating slain Fleming postal worker

FLEMING - Authorities are conducting an autopsy Monday on a postal worker found slain Saturday in the town of Fleming&#39;s one-room post office. <br> <br> A spokesman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Joel Mendelsohn, said robbery may have been the motive in the stabbing death of 48-year-old Sally Gaglia, who was working alone in the small post office Saturday morning. <br> <br> Mendelsohn said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the post office, which was open for business until 11:30 a.m. Saturday. A customer found her body behind the counter. <br> <br> Federal authorities are investigating because offenses against postal workers are federal crimes. Police are hopeful they can help the federal agents solve the case. <br> <br> Fleming is located in eastern Liberty County, about 25 miles southwest of Savannah. <br> <br> Gaglia had worked for the postal service since April 1994 and was well-liked by customers, who knew her as ``Miss Sally.&#39;&#39;
